Vipp Launches Its First Solid Wood Furniture Collection

Vipp is well-know among Scandinavian design fans around the world for its iconic metal bins and kitchens. When it celebrated its 80 years anniversary in 2018, the company made a big move into the furniture category with sofas, chairs, coffee tables, lounge chairs, and rugs. Two years later, the launch of the new Vipp Cabin series marks the Danish brand’s first venture into solid wood.

Crafted from oak the Cabin series consists of three complementary designs; a chair, with or without seat padding, a square table, and a round table with a marble top. The products are simple and airy, with modern silhouettes and beautiful, subtle details such as invisible joins and grooved surfaces.

“Given our historical predilection for steel products, our venture into wood, which is an organic and natural material, marks quite a shift. Yet, our design process holds the same refinement and attention to detail whether we shape steel or wood”, says Morten Bo Jensen, Chief Designer at Vipp.

The name ‘Cabin’ derives from an architecture project to be revealed by Vipp later this year.
