This is the home of Ditlev Fejerskov, creative director at Dossier Danmark. Together with his wife, he renovated this classic 19th-century apartment near Copenhagen, Denmark.

The look is contemporary, yet it is perfectly suited to the historical setting; it doesn’t feel out of place, thanks to good craftsmanship and quality materials.

The modern oak kitchen by Reform, and the FRAME design with a dark veneer is a great complement to the original wooden beams.

The Calacatta Viola marble countertop offers an unexpected, bold and stunning contrast.

The brass doorknobs, sink and faucet add sophisticated elegance to the look, and they will get a gorgeous patina over time.

Notice the clever bespoke uppers integrated range hood, all in the same color as the walls for a more seamless look.

With the occasional pop of color, the owners’ creativity and personality shine through.

I’m loving this home!

Reform is a Danish company founded in 2015. It originally created fronts and panels to fit IKEA’s METOD and FAKTUM kitchen in collaboration with acclaimed architects and designers, and it now also offers its own cabinets. FRAME, as shown in the apartment above, is one of their popular collections and it is designed by Swedish Note Design Studio.
