Peek Inside a Beautiful and Serene Eclectic Family Home in Sweden

Today I am giving you a peek inside a gorgeous family home near Stockholm. Built in the late 1920s, the spacious residence is cozy and inviting, with a serene quality that I love. The style is eclectic, yet the look is consistent throughout the house. The crisp white walls and ceilings offer a great backdrop to the seamless mix of design pieces, vintage finds and IKEA items. Such unique amalgam provides true character, warmth as well as a personal and authentic touch to the interior. One can easily perceive the thoughtful curation process that went into creating this beautiful home.

Enjoy the tour!

This quote from interior stylist Claire Delmar came to mind when I first saw this home:

“A home’s personality stems from individual items that can’t be sourced in a day but are instead curated over the years, each telling a story about the people inside. Layers are what creates a home and an interest to an outsider’s eye.”

I love the huge panorama image in the living room! That’s a great idea! Is that white cabinet with the 2×2 doors (the one with the Snoopy lamp) from IKEA? IKEA is mentioned at the top of the article, but this cabinet looks much higher-quality.

Yes, it is an interesting format/size! And I’d say that it is a Besta cabinet from IKEA, but with an added top like the ones proposed by – I think that’s what makes it look more finished.
