Ex.t presented its latest collaboration with Milan-based interior design studio Bernhardt-Vella at Maison & Objet in January: Nouveau, a collection of washbasins, cabinets and mirrors characterized by geometric and sinuous lines, with asymmetrical yet balanced shapes, which create a game of volumes in a succession of full and empty spaces. The structure is available in brushed bronze, satin-finish brass or matt black finishes and can be combined with various accessories such as towel rails, wooden drawers, marble or stone storage tops to offer a functional and complete product. The assortment also includes mirrors with clean and simple lines refined by geometric brass details.
The goal was to create a versatile modular system that allows people to create their own composition.
Bernhardt-Vella is a duo consisting of Ellen Bernhardt and Paola Vella, two talented ladies who infused their distinguishable style into the collection, inspired by early twentieth century Art Deco with a contemporary perspective.
Nouveau is all about attention to details and craftsmanship. It is out-of-the-box, yet tasteful, sleek and simple.
“We’ve translated a serene and discreet elegance into purity, balance of lines and shapes, lightness and airiness. Probably our more feminine side turning into a sweet, soft but also contemporary and pragmatic sign.” – Bernhardt-Vella
