Are you in the holiday spirit yet?

I got my advent calendar ready, and this weekend I plan on getting started with my decoration – Not a full-on Christmas look, but simply a few elements that will give it a festive atmosphere. While browsing the web for some inspiration, I came a cross these stunning images. I’m loving the soft colors and the natural vibe. Linen tablecloth and napkins, a touch of copper, sheepskin throws, rustic wood – Beautiful!

And isn’t a DIY Christmas wreath the most delicate, soulful décor idea? My Christmas-inspired Pinterest board is filled with them. They are perfect to dress up the mantel, front door, dining table, etc. If you have many, why not display them on the wall as shown here?

To find out how to make minimal and asymmetrical wreaths like these, see the tutorial here.

A few personal tips: Don’t be afraid to try things out; Be creative. Don’t get too OCD about it, let the wild twigs be. Use flowers, fruits, leaves and branches of evergreen, eucalyptus, magnolia, cedar, pine, Pampa grass or dried flowers (look how beautiful this is) – The choice is yours! And, most importantly, it’s about having fun.

So put on your favorite Christmas music, have some mulled wine, be mindful, and get crafty.

Enjoy!
