A Clever And Simple Trick To Hide Away Your TV

This lovely little apartment in Gothenburg, Sweden, surely has a great style. The mix of designer pieces with Ikea bestsellers, together with the many cozy textiles, make for a relaxed, inviting look.

In fact, not many would guess that this is a newly built home (and staged for sale); brand new constructions can easily lack character and warmth.

But what really stood out to me is the clever trick used to hide away the TV: curtains!

It is such a good idea, and one that reminds me of old movie theaters.

Whatsmore, sheer drapes add privacy and block a somewhat unattractive view while still allowing natural light to flow in gently. They also provide lots of texture and visual interest and instantly elevate the space. Well done!

The rest of the space is worth a tour, too. Enjoy!

Noticed the shag pile rug? It’s a big trend right now. If you are not yet ready to commit to the look, shearling and bouclé textile might be just what you need to ease into it.

So cozy and beautifully staged. Looks like someone actually lives here.
Great idea for the tv, only a bit difficult to watch it from the couch ;)

Haha, indeed ;-) That’s where it screamed “home staging” for me!
