Today I am sharing with you one of my favorite homes on Instagram.
No, it is not a grand residence by a star interior designer nor does it feature the most exquisite materials and finishes.
I absolutely love it because it is authentic and personal, with lots of character and interesting details. It is warm and inviting, and refreshingly simple and approachable; a place that we can easily imagine living in, rather than a grand design created to impress or score awards (which we seem to see a lot of lately…)
This is the home of Pernille Baastrup, where she lives with her partner and toddler. It is located in an airy 960 square-meter apartment in Østerbro in Copenhagen.
Pernille likes to mix of vintage design and newer pieces, mostly from Danish brands like Louis Poulsen, Muuto, Carl Hansen & Son, Montana Furniture, Stokke, Ferm Living, Georg Jensen, Royal Copenhagen, by Lassen, and CamCam Copenhagen, among others. A gorgeous, enviable collection!
She sourced her gorgeous prints at Galerie Maeght, Musée Matisse, Empty Wall store, and Gabriela Maskrey.
On Instagram, I particularly like to see how Pernille introduces new furniture or decorative accents, and how she shuffles things around her beautiful home.
Here are pictures to show you just how inspiring a simple, curated and considered home can be.

Isn’t it lovely?
Thank you, Pernille, for this great dose of style inspiration!
