Back in 2012, I’ve shared pictures of the beautiful home of Finnish stylist Tiina Laakkonen in the Hamptons. In a 20th-century converted barn, Tiina incorporated many elements from her home country: Prints by Marimekko, furniture by Ilmari Tapivaara/Artek, Iittala glass and tableware, Tikau rugs and lamps, etc.
Today I came across gorgeous, unseen pictures of Tiina’s home via Remodelista, and (re)discovered with delight this beautiful home where indigo and Finnish design rule.

Wonderful! A break from the prevalent Nordic black and white trend. Modern enough, Finnish enough, very cozy.
