Danish design brand ferm LIVING just released its brand new 2019 collection. Its biggest catalog yet is filled with inspiring images of their products in “real” settings, from a hallway and a living room to a kitchen, bedroom, and office. They are launching several new products, including coffee tables, a wall clock, hooks made of bubble glass, a gorgeous curved sofa and armchair, new lamps, and so much more.
To me, the overall look is a cross between Art-Deco glamour with Scandinavian elegance and functionalism.
Here are also things worth noticing from ferm LIVING’s styling:
- Rich textures – Just look at the picture above: Bouclé upholstery fabric, quilted throw, velvet, chunky woven rug, and vertical lines on the coffee table (I’ve made a post about this trend, see it here), among others.
- Rugs displayed as art on the wall
- Smokey glass
- Brown marble
- Dark wooden floors
- Round shapes everywhere – Sofas, tables, pots, vases, lamps, watering cans, hooks, etc.
Tell me, are you on board with these mini trends? Which one are you most drawn to (or not)?
“At ferm LIVING, we are engaged with the matter of how a good home looks and feels. So, as we present the news for the season, we do so with curiosity to experience where and how people spent their life. The new catalog is a presentation of places made for you to feel comfortably you.”
