Vipp keeps reinventing itself, or rather dares to explore various opportunities to position itself as a leading design brand. It is a company that started with a metal pedal bin in 1939, then went on to offer all sorts of home furnishings and a full kitchen, is now inviting you to stay at its very own hotel. And it is slightly untraditional: Instead of having a building with several suites, Vipp offers individual “rooms” at different locations. Remember the stunning prefab shelter the Danish company launched back in 2014? Well, the 55-square-meter cabin in the Swedish wilderness is part of their latest concept of unusual accommodations. If a city trip is more your thing, you can check in at the all new Vipp loft in Copenhagen, designed by renowned architect David Thulstrup. The spacious 400-square-meter apartment is quite a sight to see.
More destinations for the Vipp hotel are already in the making – So exciting!
“Our destinations all share the same goal; we want to invite people to experience firsthand our philosophy of good design in a place out of the ordinary.”, says Kasper Egelund, CEO at Vipp. “Our ambition is to have a palette of destinations with rooms curated to people who seek a one-off design experience, or customers who want to try to live with the Vipp kitchen in a home-away-from-home setting. A Vipp kitchen is for life, but you can start with just a weekend.”
