I am celebrating ten years of Nordic Design this spring. That’s about 3650 days, 2223 published articles, and close to 10 million page views – Wow!
I’ll be honest some days this endeavor feels like a never-ending marathon – Weeding out the web for great content, planning the editorial calendar, writing the articles, formatting pictures, sharing on social media and preparing newsletters, all that while learning the ropes of running an online business, search engine optimization, HTML coding, and whatnot. It was a steep learning curve to get where Nordic Design is today.
What it taught me the most is dedication, discipline, grit, the importance of celebrating successes, and a hell of a lot of things about Scandinavia!
Ten years on and I still get pretty excited about Nordic Design. It is “my baby”, something I nurture, care for and help grow every day. It is hard work, and I absolutely love all of it – Including the occasional sleepless nights, overwhelm, fears and tears. At the end of the day, it is all so worth it.
But Nordic Design would not exist if it wasn’t for YOU. You keep showing up, reading and sharing the content, commenting, and sending me your love on the daily. You are the main reason I am motivated to get to work, and I am infinitely grateful. Thank you for being on this journey with me.
As I reflected on the past and present, I realized that my purpose has grown beyond simply showing you my beautiful discoveries.
Now, more than ever, I want to connect with you. I want to share with you, and serve you the best way I can.
So here comes an exciting new chapter for Nordic Design: The Insiders Club.
