This is where Mette, the owner, spent her summer vacation as a child. She has fond memories of her family enjoying the warm days at this cottage, and it meant a lot to her to be able to purchase this house and enjoy it with her grandchildren too. It’s no surprise that it was with mixed feelings that she agreed to tear the thatched house down, but the house was in bad condition. It was a good opportunity to build upon the past and create something Mette and her partner always dreamed of.
The result is a beautiful, bright and open cottage, where light, air and views are predominant. The interior is furnished with classic pieces by Mogens Koch, Finn Juhl and Bruno Mathsson, complete with ceramics by Bodil Manz for a personalized mix of vintage finds and memorabilia.
It’s the kind of place where time stands still…
