This beautiful apartment in Malmö, Sweden, provides great inspiration for a pared-back yet refined style with a Scandinavian flair.
The 60-square-meter home is bright and airy, thanks to its white walls, bleached floors, and large windows. It is decorated with a restrained color palette of grey and brown tones, with black accents for contrast and a few wooden furniture to warm up the look. Notice also the many different textures present in the space; from the sheepskin throws and shag pile rug to velvet cushion covers, knitted blankets, cowhide, linen curtains and pillowcases, etc. – All of these add to the approachable and inviting atmosphere. A few reflective surfaces -chrome details, mirrors- as well as designer pieces elevate the look.
I spot the Gatto lamp* by Flos, a Salon Tray* by Normann Copenhagen, Wishbone chairs* by Carl Hansen & Son, a Leaf floor lamp by Muuto, a Risom lounge chair* by Knoll, a PH floor lamp by Louis Poulsen and a vintage Marcel Breuer chair.
Enjoy the tour!
