London-based Norwegian printmaker/artist Maria Hatling makes adorable art prints to frame, but also textiles and stationery.
Her designs are based on memories of home.
“For me that part of the world represents clean, spaciousness and closeness to nature. It is very modern but at the same time as it is also very traditional. My work is the same. By rejecting many of the traditional print making techniques choosing to draw and create some of my artwork freehand directly on the computer I will argue that you still have to train your hand–eye coordination in a traditional way to develop a personal signature style that can be classed as art.”
Check out Gallery Bobbin for more and to purchase some of her lovely work.
