The Perfect Escape: A Remote Cabin in Iceland For a Stylish and Cozy Stay Away from it All

While exploring my options for a last minute getaway, I came across this fabulous cabin for rent in Borgarnes, a picturesque little town in West Iceland.

It is a beautiful traditional black timber house with magnificent views of the Snæfellsnes peninsula. The interior has an interesting great mix of vintage, classic and modern design, creating a unique eclectic style. I’m loving the dark shades of blue used throughout the place, with contrasting elements in white and wood. The cabin is tastefully decorated, in a simple, unpretentious way. It looks like a warm and comfortable home away from home; a peaceful and remote retreat for a memorable stay.

I would love to get away there. I loved this cabin as soon as I saw the snippet image – that blue!!! Mesmerized. Totally fell in love with it. By the way, is that counter in the bathroom terrazzo by any chance? I couldn’t tell with certainty from the photo, but I thought it was an interesting detail.

Hmmmm… Hard to tell. My guess would be marble though. Looks beautiful indeed!
