Located in Northern Sweden, near Jarpen, restaurant Fäviken by chef and owner Magnus Nilsson offers the magic of the North and candlelight dining. The restaurant is in a log cabin full of authentic feel and charm of agrarian times. At Fäviken, food is prepared the same way as in the old days at the farms of Jämtland’s mountains. Everything on the menu is based on fresh, local ingredients – All produced, harvested, dried, pickled, bottled, and preserved by hand.
Nilsson has also recently published an inspiring cookbook called “Fäviken” with Phaidon. It features 100 recipes including natural preservation tips and 150 photographs from beautiful landscapes of the farm to the finished food dishes – A must for all food lovers!
