We have visited Øssur Mohr last summer in his house on the remote Faroe islands, Denmark. We were struck by the islands’ beautiful colors and amazing light, and we readily understood where the painter gets his inspiration from.
Øssur Mohr always paints the view from his studio: his village, the fjord and moutains surrounding it. As the nature is constantly changing and depending on the seasons, time of the day, and his emotions, he succeeds brilliantly to translate the beauty of such fairy tale landscape.
Ossur will exhibit his latest paintings at Laerken Art Gallery & Museum in June 2010, in the Netherlands. We’ll be there!
