Finnish interior designer Joanna Laajisto is skilled at making office spaces feel warm and welcoming. Maybe it is how she plays with colors, making the interior looks interesting. Maybe it is how she curates furniture, both vintage and new, giving an elegant yet understated and approachable look. Maybe it is how she styles a place, with seating areas designed to look like living rooms and meeting rooms that resemble dining rooms; just like at home. She did all that and more, for Helsinki-based creative agency Bob the Robot.
She created an environment that is inviting and exclusive yet homey and cool. Fluffy rugs, potted plants, and flea market finds – like the second-hand Artek chairs designed by Alvar Aalto – contribute to the eclectic-chic look. I also spot modern designs such as Cassina chairs, Gubi and Massproductions sofas, as well as Friends and Founders side tables.
And isn’t this deep caramel shade gorgeous? I’m loving it!
