This Beautifully Renovated Historic Townhouse in Norway is Now a Stylish Rental Getaway

Remodelled by its owner, Canadian Bergen-based architect Todd Saunders, this beautiful historic home is located in the picturesque neighborhood of Nordnes in the center of Bergen, Norway. Described as a “cabin” in the city”, the 18th century residence is now cozy and modern. It boasts a bright and luminous space, with a pared down palette, carefully edited décor, and Scandinavian simplicity. Saunders designed the custom bookshelf in the living space, while he enlisted København Møbelsnekkeriet for the gorgeous kitchen.

After completing the renovations, Saunders made the townhouse available to holiday renters. You can book it via Airbnb. I’m definitely bookmarking this one for my next trip to Norway!

I absolutely love that cute little 2-seat sofa (is that called a love seat?)! What company is it from? I thought at first it might be the Haiku from Fredericia, but it looks different after all – cuter, in fact!

It is cute, indeed! It is the Love sofa by Moooi, designed by Marce Wanders. It is 129cm wide, so pretty close to a small standard loveseat. Definitely looks cozy!

Thanks! Moooi translates to prohibitively expensive unfortunately. I also love their bird lamps and always sigh at their prices. Still, a beautiful choice in the most beautiful apartment!
