Michelin star chef Nicolai Nørregaard from Bornholm, Denmark, recently re-opened it’s Copenhagen venue to better fit the spirit his restaurant Kadeau.
The new place has a discreet entrance; only a small plaque at the door reveals the location – All in the name of giving the guests a homey feel right from the start. In line with this idea, the atmosphere inside is intimate, warm and cosy. The kitchen was placed in the middle of the room, reminiscent of a private home. The interior, by studio OEO, is a serene combination of blue, grey and dusty pink. The beautiful cabinets are by Garde Hvalsøe (same company behind the personal kitchen of Noma chef René Redzepi), and the tableware is by Bornholm-based studio Lov i Listed.
Elegant and minimal, the space goes hand in hand with the refined dishes prepared by Nørregaard and his team.
Make sure to stop by Kadeau next time you are in Copenhagen for a taste of Bornholm terroir and a unique fine dining experience.
