It’s not only the taste that caught my attention, but also the beautiful and eye-catching packaging. I had to smile when I read the fun statements printed on their boxes: “Yes, you can buy love” and “I would give up chocolate, but I’m not a quitter”, among others.
This creativity actually earned Simply Chocolate a 2012 Danish Design Award and Silver at Creative Circle 2012. The cool brand is quickly building up a reputation for their innovative ideas, sense of humour and genuine craftsmanship. They only use the finest raw chocolate on the market and the best natural ingredients. Almonds, hazelnuts, pecans, spelt flakes, oatmeal, cranberries, goji berries, coconut and blueberries, spiced up with liquorice, vanilla, cinnamon, chilli, and ginger among others. And everything is completely natural – No artificial colouring, flavouring or lacquer.
“We are unpretentious and accept no nonsense. We only take the best from nature. We believe that the joy of excellent taste goes hand-in-hand with Nordic design at its finest.”
The Copenhagen-based company, founded in 2011, now sells products at high-end stores in New York, England, Sweden, Holland, Germany and France (at Colette, in Paris!). And having tasted their amazing chocolates, I bet this is only the beginning.
