Norwegian artist Rune Guneriussen makes beautiful images of everyday objects in an environment unrelated to their man-made purpose.
The scenes captured are not without recalling wildlife and nature, and provide an interesting contrast between man-made objects and wild settings; somehow evoking a connection with the way we look at material versus the natural in our environment.
While Guneriussen offers no interpretations of her work, some art fans believe that “the surreal juxtaposition of man-made objects with distinctly wild settings evokes the fragility and ultimately the ridiculousness of man’s efforts to subdue nature.”
