With spring finally here, I’ve began to long for the perfect summer house (like every year). While going through pictures of gorgeous places to feed my cottage cravings, I found this beauty. What a house! I wouldn’t mind spending my weekends, or as a matter of fact, my whole summer in a place like this!
This house is designed by Tham & Videgård Arkitekter and located in the Stockholm archipelago. The building blends in well to the surrounding stark nature with its dark wooden structure and large windows. Its quite original layout not only works as a visual element but also creates places on the outside where you can be sheltered from the maritime wind. Areas meant for socializing are on the frontside of the house, surrounded with sliding glass, offering a perfect place for lounging and enjoying the amazing view. The interior as a whole is very Nordic: light, wooden and modern, a style that works well in the archipelago. This house simply is the perfect package!
