Bar Central by Uglycute

Designed by Uglycute, Bar Central first appealed to me mostly for its awesome combination of brown hardboard, brass details and green palette. The chairs and stools are designed by Lars Stensö for woodstockholm. Turns out it is also It is a great place to go for a satisfying bistro meal in Stockholm, with central-European influences and a great wine list. Tasty food, friendly service, a trendy interior, and a beautiful location. Overall, a charming experience!

“(Bar Central is ) a new take on a fictitious restaurant somewhere in central europe. We allowed ourselves to work quite theatrically and free with references and inputs. A dining area is separated by two steps up from the bar area. Panels are made out of brass incased masonite boards. Chairs and stools are designed by Lasse Stensö, an old professor to us at the design academy in Stockholm whose furniture has not been in production before. The furniture is manufactured by a new company called woodstockholm.” – Jonas Nobel from Uglycute
