When I was a kid, we would receive by mail a thick toy catalog from a nearby retail store around this time of the year. I would go through each page, carefully studying the products. I’d circle whatever I fancied, fingers crossed Santa would bring me something from this dream list. Choosing what I liked best and the anticipation of a possible gift of two was probably as exciting as Christmas morning itself.
And oh, how much fun do I still have as a grown-up design lover curating Nordic Design’s annual gift guide! Best. Time. Ever. Just like a kid in a candy store (or with a toy catalog, in my case), I browse around the web to find the most beautiful, functional and timeless products. I’ve handpicked some for him, her, the kids, and anyone who appreciate quality, craftsmanship, and Scandinavian design.

This year, I’ve compiled everything into ND’s Virtual Shop. Don’t hesitate to also browse existing categories, such as Scandinavian home essentials, best coffee table books or stylish storage solutions.
A side note: I am a strong advocate for buying less, but better, and thoughtful consumption should be a rule of thumb year-round, Christmas time included. Be mindful of what you already own. Shop with intent for purposeful items that will bring joy. Surround yourself with things (and mostly: people) you truly love.
