BIG NEWS: Doors to the Insiders Club are open! Join now at the special (re)launch price of $14.97 and lock in that rate for as long as you are a member! But don't wait: The price will go up on October 1st, 2020.
Why I like it: A well-designed shop with carefully-curated furniture, lighting and home accessories from Scandinavia and Japan. You’ll find selected goods from brands not easily found in North America, such as Moebe, Notem, Skagerak, Stelton, Studio Arhoj, Rig-Tig and Karin Carlander, among others. There is something for everyone’s taste.
I also like the live inventory (if you can add it to your cart, they have it), as well as the price point shopping allowing you to browse for products under $50, under $100, under $300 and above $300. Plus, the Fjord Store is also a proud member of “Be Original Americas”, a non-profit organization that helps protect the history of design and the future of innovation.
Shipping to: North America, but you can get in touch with the team if you’d like to purchase something but live outside of Canada and the United States.
Shipping from: Canada
About the shop: “The Fjord Store web shop offers a carefully considered collection of New Nordic & Japanese home goods + accessories. We believe in products that are contemporary yet aesthetically timeless, functional, authentic, and made to last. Based in Squamish, BC, close to the City of Vancouver, we’re just a stone’s throw from Howe Sound, North America’s southernmost fjord – the inspiration for our name.
Created by long-term resident, Andy Meakin, The Fjord Store presents minimal products that can be used as standalones or layered to create a cozy feel. We believe simple, beautiful products can bring harmony to our living spaces and enhance the way we enjoy our everyday lives. Many of the brands and designers we’ve partnered with are new to Canada, and in some cases, also to the United States. We’ll continue to explore, bringing you new, exciting design products that are a perfect fit for modern life, whether it’s by the ocean, the mountains or in the city.”
