The house of designer Søren Rose Kjaer

The designer Søren Rose Kjær traveled between Copenhagen and New York for work about once a month before he decided to make the move. He is now living with his family in an old factory building in TriBeCa in Manhattan.

To enhance the sense of space, they created on large lofty room where the family spends most of its time. “I think the key was to have as few things as possible, and then select our furniture with care. When you are geek like me, it’s been fun to buy some of those American classics that are hard to find in Denmark, at a reasonable price, such as the old George Nelson desk”, says Søren Rose Kjær. Looking at the pictures of this unique interior, no one can deny how they brilliantly combined modern and classical design. Good taste is always a good start, too!

Psst: Søren Rose Studio is behind the awesome Gymnasium cabinets collection.

LOVE the big white cupboard near the dining table! Makes me want to create a similar setting in our living room. Thank you for sharing :-)
