Tea Towels from Finland

Designed and hand printed in Finland, Kauniste‘s tea towels are inspired by the Finnish kitchen linens from the 60s’ and 70s’. Kauniste was established in 2008, and work with young Scandinavian designers to create beautiful long lasting textiles.

“Our aim is to promote sustinability through design and quality (…) and to offer products that outlive the mass-produced textiles mostmanufacturers make these days. We want to create a product that can be used and cherishes for as long as those classic Scandinavian designs from decades ago.” -Kauniste

Leena Kisonen and Matti Pikkujämsä are the creative minds behind the tea towels shown above. We especially like their illustrations because they have a classic Scandinavian feel with a fresh, distinguishable and playful touch.

More models/colors can be viewed on Kauniste’s website.
