Marimekko Converse Fall 2011

With the success of their initial collaboration back in February, Finnish design house Marimekko and famous shoes manufacturer Converse collaborated on a new collection for the coming season.

The vibrant prints for the Fall 2011 product line were created by Marimekko master Maija Isola as well as Marimekko’s young rising talent Maija Louekari. The collection also feature the 1964 iconic poppy-like Unikko graphics, applied to Converse’s most famous silhouettes: Chuck Taylor All Star and the Jack Purcell shoe.

We’ll definitely put our hands on a pair with the grey Unikko pattern!

Have a look at this great video presenting the story behind the great partnership between Marimekko and Converse.
