What a place! My heart skipped a beat when I first saw these pictures.
It’s the home of Marie Olsson Nylander, stylist at KK Living. It is located in Höganäs, Sweden, and built in 1884. Over the years, this Italian-inspired building was the home of a member of the Swedish parliament; then it housed offices, an emergency clinic, an apartment complex and an artist’s studio. A place with such an interesting history definitely deserves the grandiose look and unique atmosphere Nylander created!
The bohemian chic interior is full of surprising details, and a testimony of Nylander’s love for antiques and designer pieces, which she combines beautifully. She is creative, has an eye for details, and surely knows how to create a wow factor. This is one of the best eclectic interior I’ve seen in a long time – It is stunning!

I really liked the use of color in this home but the only room I’d never set foot in is the kitchen. The absence of color or anything that would convey that people actually live there or gather there is frightening to me. There is no clutter in my kitchen, it’s very welcoming as I believe a kitchen should be. To each there own. I love your blog and appreciate your point of view.
