Sofia Lagerkvist, Charlotte von der Lancken and Anna Lindgren compose the Swedish design group Front, which has been awarded several international awards such as the Torsten and Wanja Söderberg Prize, among others.

They recently launched their latest project: a new range of modern tableware for Höganäs Ceramics. The new series consists of a teapot, candlestick, mugs, plates, and bowls in various sizes, glazes and color scheme.

“Our inspiration for designing new tableware for Höganäs ceramics comes from its long history, quality and craftsmanship, and also our own memories of the classic Höganäskruset. In the majority of Swedish homes there is Höganäs Ceramics, it is part of our shared history. We wanted to create a series of simple shapes that bring back memories, and simultaneously fit exactly the way we live now, every day.” – Helen Drank, Design and Marketing at Fiskars Home / Höganäs Ceramics.

This cooperation between Höganäs Keramik and Front is apparently just the begining; more new products will be launched in the spring 2011.
