Dream Hotel in Finland by Studio Puisto

Here’s a tip for anyone visiting Tampere in Finland!

Dream Hotel is the latest addition to the Dream Hostel, which opened its doors in 2010. The hostel recently expanded its facilities and offering with a design hotel, which is located on the same premises – An old factory building, right in the city center.

The hotel was placed in a 400 squaremeter office space on the hostels upper floor. The interior was designed by a Helsinki-based Studio Puisto with the aim to create a place that functions in a new, sustainable and flexible way, and a décor that integrates stylish Finnish design. Light colours and natural materials such as wood, wool ans sisal give a fresh and clean look to the place. The rooms are kept basic to fulfill the guests’ needs for a good nights sleep, and communal spaces were carefully conceived.

“The open character of the industrial building is strengthened by placing the rooms as separate units in the open space,” said the architects, “thus creating a feeling of being in a public park in between individual volumes.”
