A Kitchen That Exemplifies Warm Scandi Minimalism

Swedish cabinet manufacturer Nordiska Kök revealed its latest kitchen design, and it is the perfect dose of beauty we all need to kick start the week in style.

Located in a historic apartment in Östermalm, a posh residential neighborhood of Stockholm, the minimal kitchen is superbly suited for the large, airy, and modern living space.

Interesting detail: The cabinet’s rounded corners. Just like a classic curved credenza, this wall of cabinet looks like a piece of stand-alone furniture rather than a fixed element. The distinctive, organic shape provides the look with a touch of softness.

Gorgeous tone on tone palette, which enhances the design’s beautiful simplicity and creates a warm, serene atmosphere. A few details in black bring the right dose of contrast and help to ground the look.

The sculptural furniture and fixtures, from the Serge Mouille ceiling light and the Pierre Jeanneret chairs to the Saarinen’s Tulip table as well as the smaller decorative touches, all add to the room’s unique and sophisticated expression.
