Award-winning brewer Mikkel Borg Bjergsø is an original. He was coined both gypsy and rock’n’roll by the international press, a reputation he gained after opening his modern beer bars in Copenhagen, San Francisco and Bangkok. Quality is key to Mikkel’s beer, and it is also what he seeks for his 128 m2 family home in Vesterbro, Copenhagen. Indeed, it is filled with unique design finds in wild colours, and with furniture by one of his design heroes, Verner Panton. Mikkel is also inspired by anything from the 1960s – 1980s, especially the materials used a lot at the time: plastic, Fiberglas, plexiglass, rubber…

The interior is undeniably cool and stylish, with bold and bright hues. Mikkel somehow makes the pairing of grass green, purple, red and orange look easy and effortless… Definitely a happy place!
