From a Finnish mother and British father, Sanna Annuka is a young illustrator and a print maker. While growing up she travelled around Lapland, enjoyed the nature and listened to folk songs collection The Kalevala, which is what inspires her today.
Her portfolio includes works for Marimekko, among others, as well as illustrations for the covers Keane’s second albums Under the Iron Sea.
We love the bright colors and the folklore depicted in her illustrations, especially the silk screen print Call of the Cuckoo as featured here, which is now on our Must-Have list!
Some of her limited editions lithographs, screen prints or wooden birds can be ordered on her website sanna-annukka.com
