Former classmates, friends, colleagues and now neighbors living above/under each other,  Nils Holscher and Claus Sivager have built an award winning house for themselves and their families in Copenhagen.

Nils and his partner Stine live together on the 5th and 5th floor of the building with their three young boys. While many might think the minimalist style of the house might not suit a family very well, they, on the other hand, disagree. The layout of the house is designed so that the family mainly spends their time together in one open space, blurring the boundaries between the kitchen, dining room and living room. There are sliding doors and built-in closets to maintain the minimalist style. The floor is made of an easy-to-clean and durable polyurethane which is not only very practical with children, but it also contribute to the overal look and feel of the place.

And what a fantastic staircase! Clean, sleek and simple – We love!
